London – Obviously we would put this on the list as it is a mecca for lots of LGBT and a passage of rites often to live here, even if it only for a while. With a huge amount of gay bars and a massive gay community, not to mention one of the biggest and most extravagant gay pride events in the world, London is often seen as the beating heart of the worlds gay scene. With lots of opportunities for employment here, great transport links and unbelievable nightlife, the biggest problem with London, gay or not, is the rent!
Brighton – Seen as the scene away from London, a beach resort with capital links and lower house prices make this a great place to live if you are gay. With a vibrant gay village, and great gay nightlife Brighton attracts a great gay crowd who love the local culture scene and creative buzz.
Manchester – An inclusive northern city that embraces the LGBT community with open arms. A huge cultural draw in the north, combined with a thriving gay village, gay history and friendly community makes this a great place to live if you are gay. Manchester has also received global recognition as one of the most LGBT friendly cities in the world.
Glasgow – If you are looking for a Scottish city in which to settle then you can’t go far wrong with Glasgow. Recently crowned as the most gay friendly city in Scotland Glasgow also has a thriving gay village with many trendy bars and a good number of well-loved gay clubs. Glasgow also has Scotland’s biggest pride event.
Bristol – Voted as one of the top 20 gay cities in the world to live in, Bristol has it all for many of its gay residents. With over 40 theatre and concert venues, Bristol has culture in abundance and a great gay scene to go with it. Also ranking as the UK’s top equal opportunities city, Bristol is welcoming to all who want to make a home here.
